Simple Thank You Card

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I am needing to make some special Thank You cards for those who have so helped me with my Mom and Dad these last few weeks.  I won't name names because you know who you are!  I have a few to do but wanted to show one that I just finished.  I hopefully will have more in the next few days.  We will see.  My father gets home from rehab this week and I will finally have both my parents back in their own home!  I will still be very busy  taking care of them but that is OK!  I have had many blessings and answers to prayers and  I am forever grateful for every one of them!  Don't forget to click on the highlighted links to see everything up close and in detail!  So here is one of my Thank You cards:

For this card I started by using the Sangria Paper Packet and bordering it with the matching Poppy Cardstock

I then took a piece of colonial white cardstock and embossed it with our Chevron Embossing Folder, sponged the edges with the Poppy Ink Pad and then bordered it with the Poppy cardstock and attached to the Sangria Strip of paper.

I then took out my Cricut machine and using the CTMH Cricut Artistry Collection, I cut the flowers out.  The paper used for these flowers is from the Enchantment Paper Fundamentals paper packet. If you look close at the flowers you will see fun little "glossy" accents on the leaves and the flowers.  This paper packet has a printed pattern on one side and glossy on the other side of each piece of paper in the packet.  I love these papers.

I also wanted to let you know that if you have a Cricut Explore and Cricut Explore air, you can purchase the Artistry images at a lower price and all online instead of buying the actual cartridge! You still get all the 700 images but online.  We also have 4 more cartridges that each have at least 700 images to cut out.  You can see the shapes featured in each collection if you visit CloseToMyHeart.com and click on Products and scroll down to Cricut collections and see the images.

I then took out the  A Thousand Thanks Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment with the Poppy ink pad.   Then I finished the card with a few of our embellishments from the Bling Gold Gems Assortment.

Thanks for checking in and seeing what I created today!  I hope to be back soon!  Have a great rest of the week!  Hugs!

Birthday Card- Finally!!

Happy Friday everyone!

I am sorry it has been so long since I have posted.  I have wanted to post many times but life gets in the way sometimes and I had to prioritize and my love of crafting got put on the back burner.  My sweet Mom fell and broke her hip and had surgery and was in rehab.  I was taking care of my Dad with meals, laundry etc.  Then two weeks later while she was still in rehab, my dad had a stroke! So emergency rooms, hospital stay and rehab.  I got my Mom home and my Dad is still in rehab. Hopefully he will be home soon!  I will continue with the meals etc for a while.  So there is a good chance I won't get to do as much with this blog but please don't give up on me and I will post when I can!  So with that here is my card:

I made this card for our boy for his 24th birthday! Now that the birthday is over, I can actually post the card!

This is what the card looks like when opened.

Here is the card when it is closed:

Here is a list of supplies I used for the card:
(You can click on the links to see the products larger and in detail)

Urban Paper Packet

Urban Complements

Enamel and Glitter Dots Blue

Grey Enamel Gems

Bitty Sparkles

The ink colors I used are:  Whisper Ink Pad and Sapphire Ink Pad.  I used our Cricut Art Philosophy Collection to cut out the image under the birthday message.

I also used Ink blot Stamp set and the Sending Love Stamp set.

I hope you enjoy this card and thanks for waiting so patiently for me to post again.  I hope I get the chance to do so again soon!  Until then have a great weekend!  Hugs!
