Workshop Hawaiian Hibiscus Shabby Chic card July 2016

Hello all!
Did you think that I had dropped from the face of the earth?  Nope, but super busy and I finally get back to my joy of posting cards.  I have had the joy of watching my youngest son get married to a darling girl out of state and I experienced sorrow when we had to do a memorial service to say good-bye to my daddy and then again joy when we got to host a wedding reception for my son and new daughter-in-law and throw in a camping trip and workshop and that is why I haven't posted! LOL

Today's card is my take on a shabby chic style of card..

For this card I used the following items:
Kraft Cardstock for base
White Daisy Cardstock for 2nd Layer
Calypso Paper Packet for the blue
Spray Pen  that you add re-inker and water in it and spritz the white daisy cardstock for that soft background color.

Using the super sharp Micro-tip scissors, I distressed all the edges of the papers. Then I used the Exclusive Chocolate Ink Pad and sponged around all the edges to get that shabby look.

Used my Cricut machine and the Cricut Artbooking Collection to cut the border with Kraft paper.

The hibiscus stamp is from the Hawaiian Hibiscus Stamp Set. Then using the Small waterbrush  and the beautiful Watercolor Paints I colored in the flower and leaves that were stamped on Watercolor paper.

After it was assembled then I added a few Enamel and Glitter Dots to finish the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by and check back in a few days for another card!  Have a great day. Hugs!
