Good afternoon everyone!
I have been gone on vacation and away from my crafting supplies..gasp! It was hard but it was well worth it! LOL My husband and I got to see our son who is in college and spend a great week together. We got to see some of sites around Utah and now I am home and ready to start up on the crafting and blogging again! Today I decided I better get busy and create a couple of Mother's Day cards. May and Mother's day will be here faster than I am ready for!
Here is my card:
I decided to use our beautiful
Blossom Paper Pack
I am so in love with paper since I saw it in our newest Expressions catalog. I bought it and I have been "hoarding" this paper waiting for just the right time to use it. Yep, you heard right, I am a paper hoarder and not ashamed to admit it!
I realize that you really can't see the entire pattern. Trust me it is beautiful! If you click on the link above you can see it better. I know you will probably be seeing more of this beautiful paper in some of my new creations later.
I also used the Artfully Sent Cricut Collection to cut out the front of the card from Lagoon Cardstock before I glued the blossom paper behind it. And used that same cartridge to cut out the tags for the front of the card. Then I used our Flowers for Mom stamp set to stamp the sentiments and the flowers. I used Coral Reef Sequins and Bitty Sparkles and Aqua Dots to embellish the card. I also used some double stick tape to "pop up" the flowers.
I hope you enjoy this and have a great week! Check back the end of the week for another creation! Hugs!

PML Card
Happy Monday Everyone!
Today I am showing a card using our fabulous Picture My Life scrapbooking program. It is a program that includes double sided cards that you insert into special page protectors along with your pictures for a fast and easy scrapbooking! We have a number of themes you can choose from to complete your scrapbooking needs! If you are not into scrapbooking, you can use these cute pre-printed cards on the front of a normal card!
I am showing a card with a Seaside theme. I choose this theme because sitting by the sea, listening to the waves and dipping my toes in the surf is one of my most favorite things to do! I feel very blessed to have experienced this in my life because living in Colorado you don't see many beaches!
The message on the front of the card talking about friends, is near and dear to my heart. I feel very blessed to have the friends that I have and combining that thought with my favorite thing to do is a winning combination! Click on the links to see the products I used up close and in greater detail! Have a marvelous day! Hugs!
Started out with
Seaside Paper Packet
Using one of the 122 cards included in the Seaside Scrapbooking Program
Then stamping the message and stamping the shells with Desert Sand Exclusive Ink Pad
from the Treasured Friendship stamp set
Took a piece of Desert Sand 12 X 12 cardstock sanded it and then attached to the card along with the card from the program and the cut out shells. Then I finished the card with our Aqua Dots Embellishments

Beautiful Day Card
Happy Friday Everyone
The card today makes me want to take a minute to stop and realize how very blessed I am. Here is the card and then let me tell you what I used to create it:
I started out by using our white daisy card stock and then putting a piece of Sorbet paper from our
Whimsey Assortment Paper Fundamentals paper
This paper pack has 20 double-sided 12X12 Sheets. 2 each of 10 different designs, same design on both sides with one side being glossy.
So all I had to do was cut a piece of paper, cut it in half and then flip one side over to get two designs on one card! So easy!
And because the design was a honeycomb design on this piece of paper, I took our Honeycomb Embossing Folder and embossed another piece of our white daisy card stock to match!
I then took out the stamp set from our new Cricut Artfully Sent collection
cut out image that matches the stamp set and stamped the Frame with Sorbet Exclusive Ink Pad. Cut the border of the image just a 1/4 inch larger in Sweet leaf Cardstock.
I am soo glad that Close To My Heart has these Cricut cartridges! With EACH cartridge having 700 images you can cut out and we have 4 cartridges! That is a total of 2800 images, cards, fonts, basic shapes, 3-D items, mini-books and layouts at my finger tips with only 4 Cricut cartridges. And only 4 cartridges that I have to store and keep track of. A few people have asked me where I got that "die" to cut a certain image that they saw on some of my previous cards and they are disappointed when I tell them it is from one of our cartridges. I belong to a number of card making groups and I know there are some beautiful dies out there, but I am glad that I don't have to worry about having to buy and store dies and remember what I have! All I have to do is pull out my cartridge and cut a certain image out or multiple quantities of that item with a push of button and I am done. I am so glad that I have so many stamp sets that I can cut out the image with the matching cartridge. It helps so much in my card making workshops being able to cut out multiple images! Thank you Close To My Heart!
Then I stamped the butterfly from the Capture the Day Stamp set and colored it in with the Shin Han Light Orange Marker and the Shin Han Leaf Green Marker. Cut the butterfly out attached to the front.
Added some of our new Coral Reef Sequins and you are done.
Hope you enjoyed this card and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Tall Skinny Card
Good Afternoon everyone!
Yesterday I sat down to make card to show you and it was "just one of those days"! You know them, the one where you spend the entire afternoon creating a card that just has to be perfect so you can show the world what you made. Then after changing my mind over and over, I finally finished the card only to find that I really didn't like it! LOL So instead of posting, I decided to wait a night to see if I still didn't like it this morning before I posted. Yep..you are right. It was a OK card but there is just something about it that just didn't sit right with me. So no, you don't get to see it! I then spent this afternoon figuring out a different card and even though it is not perfect, I will post it! Maybe I am being a bit critical of myself? Here it is:
For this card I used the following supplies..just click on the links below if you want to see them bigger!
A Budding Friendship Stamp set
Brushed Paper Packet
I stamped the flowers and leaves on the background paper and cut them out
Brand New Documenting Moments Stamp set
I used this set for the "You make my smile" sentiment. This is really fun set, I am thinking I will be using this set many times!
Dot Embossing Folder
Gold Sequins Assortment
Thanks for looking and being patient with me. Hopefully I can get back on track and post another card on Friday..after all I am a day behind! Have a great rest of the week!

Black and White card
Happy Wednesday Everyone!
I know I usually post on Monday but as you can see, it didn't happen! But I am back in the creative mode once again. Today I am using our awesome Close To My Heart stamp of the month. Remember I told you about our Stamp of the month program in one of my previous posts. This one is for the month of April only! I love, love this stamp set! There are 19 images in this set and 17 of them are sentiments! Here is the link to click on to see the stamp set:
Typed Note April Stamp of the Month
And here is the card that I made with it:
This card was easy to do. I stamped in black ink and then put the
Black Glitter Paper behind it.
Then I embossed the next layer with our Quatrefoil Embossing Folder
and layered black card stock behind that one and then attached it all to the white card.
Finished it up with our
Natural Metallic Bakers Twine
Added some sparkly embellishments to go with the glitter card stock.
I used the
Small Sparkles Black Flourishes
and a couple of our Black and Grey Sparkles to finish the card.
Sometimes there isn't enough time to color and cut out and when that happens you can just grab this set and stamp and layer and have a beautiful card for a number of occasions. And if you don't like black and white then just use your favorite color and it will be just as beautiful! Thanks for looking. Have a wonderful evening!
