Moose Card

Hello,

This is the card I made for my husband for Father's Day. 

I stamped the moose from the 
Nature's Wish Stamp Set.  I colored it in with my markers and cut it out.  

I then took the Fern Ink Pad and stamped the tree from the above set.  I sponged the "grass" under the trees with the fern ink as well.  I bordered it with Slate Cardstock and then attached the moose to the middle of the images. 

For the base of the card, I took out the Ink Blot Stamp Set and stamped a background on the left side with the fern ink.  I then took out a discontinued embossing folder and embossed the Fern Cardstock.  I took out some old ribbon from my stash and added that.  Attached the moose and stamped the sentiment.  Thanks for stopping by!  Hugs!

Fox Card

Where I live I have been having fun watching some young foxes grow up.  Normally the Momma Fox  raises her babies across the street from my house. But this year she had them someplace else and I was sad that I didn't get to see them when they were little babies. But she must have moved back to her favorite place across the street!  Now that her babies are "teenagers"  I have been enjoying watching them hunt and play in the early morning hours and in the evening. 

With that in mind, I decided to use this super cute Close To My  Heart June Stamp of the month called  Hello Foxy.  This set has 11 stamps that include 3 foxes and flowers and sayings.  Click on the highlighted link to see it!

I used the Prickly Pear Paper Packet for my patterned papers.   I colored the images in with my markers.  I also used Sea Glass Cardstock and Tangerine Cardstock for my base and behind my circle.

Birthday Twisted Pop-up Card

Hello!

This is the front of my first attempt at making a Twisted pop up card!  I got to make this card for my daughter-in-laws birthday!
It is always fun to learn new things. 

The patterned paper is some old Close To My Heart paper that I had in my stash called Blossom.   I used the balloons from the Happy For You Stamp Set.   

I used Lagoon Cardstock for the base of my card and which happens to be on sale for 25% off right now until the end of June!

I also used Lagoon Stamp pad, Smoothie Stamp Pad, Glacier Stamp Pad and the discontinued Pear and Sunset stamp pad colors for the balloons.

I used the Happy Birthday Thin Cuts with the Lagoon Cardstock.  I used a discontinued set of thin cuts to make the birthday present.   I also used the discontinued Sunset Cardstock as a base for the pop up!

Added a couple of enamel dots from my stash!

Sympathy Card

I needed to once again make a couple of sympathy cards.  I really like making happy cards and these do not fall into that category! 

But, it something that has to be done from time to time. So for today's card I used the Shower Flower Stamp Set and the sentiment is from the Heartfelt Thoughts Stamp Set.

I used paper from the Whimsy Paper Fundamentals Paper  and also used some Champagne Cardstock.

For the flower/leaf/sentiment colors I used the Thistle Stamp Pad, Sweet Leaf Stamp Pad and the Champagne Stamp Pad.

Thank you card

Good Morning!

Today's card I raided my stash again.  It is fun to be able to start to use up some of supplies..but of course, with all the "supplies" that I have I will be doing this a  long, long, long time!  Ha Ha

I wanted to make some Thank you cards and this is what I came up with. 

Almost all the products I used for this card are retired from Close To My Heart with a couple of exceptions:  The pixie cardstock and the pixie ink, also the black cardstock. I also used the current Ink Blot Stamp Set. These are still available to order. 

For those who also have a stash of stuff from Close To My Heart and want to know what papers I used:  Chantilly Paper and the 4 My Friend stamp set.  The embossing folder is NOT from Close To My Heart.

Another Cat Card!

I think I am done with cat cards for a while! 😊 I made this card for a friend who loves cats almost as much as I do and that made it all the more fun to make!

The paper background paper is discontinued paper from Close To My Heart that I had in my stash.  

The border around the main picture and the Thank You  is Sapphire Cardstock.  I colored in the images with my Shinhan and Copic markers.

The stamp set Curious Kitties is from Honey Bee Stamp company.  The stitched clouds are from Memory box company.

Two Cat Cards

Hello!

I must be on a roll with cat cards..beware there are more to come.  This cute card was made with a stamp set that I have wanted to play with for a while. 

As you know cats love to sit in boxes and I couldn't resist!  I used Kraft paper and I used some washi tape over a piece of Kraft cardstock to do the middle border between the embossed part of the card and the cat prints!

Happy Card

Hello!

 I was in the mood to do a "spring" card. 

I have a lot of flower stamp sets.  I just couldn't decide what one to use so I ended up not even using a flower set!

This set is called So Many Smiles Set.  It has numerous circles to mix and match using whatever color makes you happy!  It also has four fun sentiments as well as a leaf stamp if you want to make "flowers" with the circles.  For the circles I used a number of ink pads.  Here is a list of colors  in case you are interested:

Raspberry Ink Pad, Tangerine Stamp Pad, Sea Glass Ink Pad, Emerald Ink Pad, Lagoon Stamp Pad, Pansy Stamp pad and Lemon Stamp Pad

For the background stamping I used Charming Cascades Stamp Set along with the Blossom Stamp Pad.  I bordered the middle with Emerald Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with the Raspberry ink and also using that same color ink, I sponged the edges of the card.

Birthday Card

Hello,

I received this cute little stamp set a year ago for a gift.  I have never used it and decided to take it out and play with it. 

It was so fun to stamp and color in this little stamp set.  I used my Shin Han and Copic markers to color it.  

The paper I had in my stash as well.  

I had fun giving this card away for a special birthday person to enjoy!

Cute Kitty Thank You

Hello,

For those who know me well, know that I love cats!  I have been very lucky over the years to have different cats to grace my life and give me much love.

That means that I have and will continue to have stamp sets that are cat themed! No matter what company, if they are cute, I will buy them.

Wedding Card

Hello!

On today's card I used the Hello Lovely Stamp Set and Thin Cuts Bundle.

I cut it out with the thin cuts dies and then using Silver Embossing Powder to emboss the image and the sentiment. 

Using Watercolor paints I colored in the flowers.  I used the papers and the embossing folders from my stash.

Butterfly Thank You

Hello,

I needed to say Thank you! to some dear friends and decided to use the Dreamin' Big Stamp Set from Close To My Heart.

I also used the Whimsy Fundamentals Paper Pack along with the Juniper Cardstock.

  I also used the Juniper Stamp Pad and the Canary Stamp Pad.

The cute little Thank You sentiment is from the Short & Sweet Stamp Set.  

The stitching stamp set and the ribbon is from my stash of stuff.

I went to my stash and got this cute little discontinued Close To My Heart stamp set to make this card.

The paper is from a old Close To My Heart 
Happy Times paper packet. 

I love using my stitched dies to border the images. 

Colored in with Shinhhan and Copic markers.

Fish Happy Birthday

Hi there!
I make a lot of cards. There are many times that I go through my stash and find older Close To My Heart paper and card stock colors to use on my creation.  This is one of those cases.  
 I have been trying to only share "current" Close To My Heart stuff.  I have decided that this is my personal blog and I want show my creations no matter what paper and embellishments that I use.

 I hope that by sharing ALL my creations someone will be inspired by my cards and use the supplies they have on hand to create their own masterpiece!

  If there is a current product that can be purchased on my website, then I will make a link so you can look it up.  Otherwise, I will note if I got the products from my own personal "stash"!  

So with that being said, this card is one I made for my son for his birthday. He loves to fish and I had fun making this card.  I used the Hooked on You Stamp set from Close To My Heart.  I used the  Watercolor Paints and the Small Round Waterbrush to color the image in.  After it dried then I used the Liquid Glass on the water to give it that 3-d glossy water look.  I think it makes the fish look like it is really jumping out of the water!  The card stock and the embellishments and the embossing folder are from my stash!

Sweet Card

This quick and easy card is using the super cute Sugar Rush Stamp Set from Close To My Heart.  Check out the above link to see the donuts and cute sentiments!

I also used the Sugar Rush Paper Packet. 

I used the Seaglass Stamp pad, Raspberry Stamp pad, Tangerine Stamp Pad and the Canary Stamp Pad.

Oh, I also used the Clear Embossing Powder on top of the frosting on the Donut to make it looks glossy. 

Finished the card with the some Bitty Sparkles.

Hello Card

Good Morning!
For today's card I am using the fun Heartfelt Hello Stamp from Close To My Heart.  

I embossed this image with Gold Embossing Powder and colored it in using Watercolor paints and the Small round Waterbrush.

I used the patterned paper from the Dreaming Big Paper Packet.  

I also used Sorbet Cardstock and Glacier Cardstock.  Finished it off using the pretty 
Adhesive backed Gold Shimmer Trim.

Sea Shell Card

This card is a quick and easy card using the Swirly Seashells Stamp set and Thin Cuts Bundle from Close To My Heart.

I decided to go with doing a simple card and using only one color of ink.  If you are inclined you can surely color the shells with some watercolors or markers or whatever your favorite art medium is!

I used the Cocoa Stamp Pad and Cocoa Cardstock.  I also used some patterned paper from the Rustic Home Fundamentals Paper Packet.  I added some ribbon from the Rustic Home Ribbon Pack and some Grey Enamel Gems.

Finished by stamping in Cocoa ink the sentiment from Happy To Be Friends Stamp Set.

Cute Bird Card

At my workshop this month we made this cute card.  Using the Some Kind of Wonderful Stamp Set from Close To My  Heart.  I used the patterned paper from the Some Kind of Wonderful Paper Packet as well. 

I also used a Simple Chevron Embossing Folder  with Lagoon Cardstock.  

Added a few cute little Dreamin Big Sequins from Close To My  Heart.

You're Not Alone Card

This card is my version of the card idea that is in the Seasonal Expressions catalog from Close To My Heart.  

In this catalog you can purchase the  Here For You Workshops Your Way Cardmaking Kit that includes the stamp set you see here as well as  the patterned paper, cardstock, shimmer trim, embellishments and card bases and envelopes to make 12 cards.  

On my card I used different paper and "tweaked" the pattern a bit from the one in the catalog. 

 Instead of using the paper included in the kit,  I used the paper from the Whimsey Fundamentals Paper Pack.   

I used Smoothie, Sweet leaf and Pixie ink colors as well as a piece of Sweet leaf cardstock. 
 Using  a piece of Smoothie Cardstock I cut the heart out with the Thin Cuts -Basic Hearts Die Set.  
I embossed the heart with the Wood Slats Embossing Folder and attached to the card. 

 I love the sentiments from this stamp set and I enjoyed using it on this card. It always nice to have a card like this to share!  Until next time, have a great day!  Hugs!

Fun Birthday Card

Hi there!  This is a fun card using different individual stamps from three awesome stamp sets:

Way To Go Stamp Set for the cute banners.
Birthday Sparkles Stamp Set for the Birthday Greeting.
Happy For You Stamp Set for the balloons. 

I used a number of pretty stamp pad colors:

Emerald, Pansy, Tangerine, Blossom and Raspberry for the banners.  I also used the Pansy and Tangerine pigment inks from the  Adventure Mini Pigment Inks Set  for the balloons.  I  used the Clear Embossing Powder along with the pigment ink on the balloons to make them shine.

I used the  Stitch Guide along with the Foam Mat to protect my work surface to make the stitching around the card.

Finished the card by adding a few Bitty Sparkles to  make it even more festive!

Valentine Card

Hello!

I am back!  I have been making loads of cards lately but I have taken a break from taking pictures and posting.  So here I am again with the first card of 2017!  

This card is using the  Adore You Stamp Set from Close To My Heart.   This set is a stamp of the month set available for only the month of January!  



I used the cute dotted Kraft paper from the Rustic Home Paper Packet. I used the Small Round Waterbrush to pick up the colors from the Ruby, Sapphire, Fern and Saffron Stamp pads.  I also used a piece of Ruby Cardstock that I ran through the Confetti Embossing Folder.  Because this cardstock is white core I sanded the surface to make the dots pop!
