Cute Cat Card

Good Morning!

If you know me at all you know that I love cats! All kinds of cats and I know I could turn into one of those crazy cat ladies very easily. 

 Thank goodness I only have two and realize that is enough!

So because of that I love to make cards with yep, you are right...cats!!

I might even share another one with you next week..so beware!

New Job Card

Hello there!

For this card I used a number of items. I cut the jar out using a  Cricut cartridge from Close To  My Heart.  I used a stamp set for the flowers and the background stamps.  Once I colored the flowers in with my alcohol markers, I used my scan n cut to cut them out.   I then arranged them in the jar and added the sentiments.

Wedding Card

Hello everyone!  
The stamp set is from Close To My Heart as well as the papers.
The image is colored in with copic markers and the little "pearls" are made with Nuvo drops which I love!
This card makes a great wedding card but if you want to make it something else like Thank you or Happy Birthday all you have to do it change the sentiment!

Fox Happy Birthday

This is so fun to be able to start showing my creations to all who want to look!  I have been told it is a good idea to do a "watermark" on the card to make sure I get credit for doing the work and not someone else.  Even though I don't  mind anyone "stamp lifting" the idea as long as they give me credit for it.  While I really do not like to have the watermark show up in the middle of the card, this free program only lets me do it on the middle or around the edges of the card.  SO until I find a program that lets me put it at the bottom or the top of the card ( or move it wherever I want) you will have to put up with it where it is for now.   I am still in the learning process of this.  
Anyway, I love this card.  It was so fun to use the fox and color it in.  Where I live we have momma foxes that have their little ones close to my home in the Spring.  A event that I look forward to each year.  It is so fun to see the babies out running and playing at daybreak or dusk.

I AM BACk

Hello all!

Wow!  It has been a while. To be honest when I started this blog I started it as a means to show my creations that I made with all of my Close To My Heart products that I was selling.  Even though I wasn't posting for a while  I was still creating and still taking pictures.   Now I am no longer a consultant with any company and I figure that maybe I need to start sharing what I have been doing.   You will still see lots of pictures with Close To My Heart products because that is what I have mostly in my stash. In time I am sure I will try new things and different products that are not Close To My Heart because I know that there is a lot of wonderful stuff out there.  There won't be links to anything as I am not selling anything.   I am still trying to decide how I want to do this blog..so please bear with me as I make this new transition.  I am excited for this new adventure. Since it is still Easter today here is my card. 

Moose Card

Hello,

This is the card I made for my husband for Father's Day. 

I stamped the moose from the 
Nature's Wish Stamp Set.  I colored it in with my markers and cut it out.  

I then took the Fern Ink Pad and stamped the tree from the above set.  I sponged the "grass" under the trees with the fern ink as well.  I bordered it with Slate Cardstock and then attached the moose to the middle of the images. 

For the base of the card, I took out the Ink Blot Stamp Set and stamped a background on the left side with the fern ink.  I then took out a discontinued embossing folder and embossed the Fern Cardstock.  I took out some old ribbon from my stash and added that.  Attached the moose and stamped the sentiment.  Thanks for stopping by!  Hugs!

Fox Card

Where I live I have been having fun watching some young foxes grow up.  Normally the Momma Fox  raises her babies across the street from my house. But this year she had them someplace else and I was sad that I didn't get to see them when they were little babies. But she must have moved back to her favorite place across the street!  Now that her babies are "teenagers"  I have been enjoying watching them hunt and play in the early morning hours and in the evening. 

With that in mind, I decided to use this super cute Close To My  Heart June Stamp of the month called  Hello Foxy.  This set has 11 stamps that include 3 foxes and flowers and sayings.  Click on the highlighted link to see it!

I used the Prickly Pear Paper Packet for my patterned papers.   I colored the images in with my markers.  I also used Sea Glass Cardstock and Tangerine Cardstock for my base and behind my circle.

Birthday Twisted Pop-up Card

Hello!

This is the front of my first attempt at making a Twisted pop up card!  I got to make this card for my daughter-in-laws birthday!
It is always fun to learn new things. 

The patterned paper is some old Close To My Heart paper that I had in my stash called Blossom.   I used the balloons from the Happy For You Stamp Set.   

I used Lagoon Cardstock for the base of my card and which happens to be on sale for 25% off right now until the end of June!

I also used Lagoon Stamp pad, Smoothie Stamp Pad, Glacier Stamp Pad and the discontinued Pear and Sunset stamp pad colors for the balloons.

I used the Happy Birthday Thin Cuts with the Lagoon Cardstock.  I used a discontinued set of thin cuts to make the birthday present.   I also used the discontinued Sunset Cardstock as a base for the pop up!

Added a couple of enamel dots from my stash!

Sympathy Card

I needed to once again make a couple of sympathy cards.  I really like making happy cards and these do not fall into that category! 

But, it something that has to be done from time to time. So for today's card I used the Shower Flower Stamp Set and the sentiment is from the Heartfelt Thoughts Stamp Set.

I used paper from the Whimsy Paper Fundamentals Paper  and also used some Champagne Cardstock.

For the flower/leaf/sentiment colors I used the Thistle Stamp Pad, Sweet Leaf Stamp Pad and the Champagne Stamp Pad.

Thank you card

Good Morning!

Today's card I raided my stash again.  It is fun to be able to start to use up some of supplies..but of course, with all the "supplies" that I have I will be doing this a  long, long, long time!  Ha Ha

I wanted to make some Thank you cards and this is what I came up with. 

Almost all the products I used for this card are retired from Close To My Heart with a couple of exceptions:  The pixie cardstock and the pixie ink, also the black cardstock. I also used the current Ink Blot Stamp Set. These are still available to order. 

For those who also have a stash of stuff from Close To My Heart and want to know what papers I used:  Chantilly Paper and the 4 My Friend stamp set.  The embossing folder is NOT from Close To My Heart.

Another Cat Card!

I think I am done with cat cards for a while! 😊 I made this card for a friend who loves cats almost as much as I do and that made it all the more fun to make!

The paper background paper is discontinued paper from Close To My Heart that I had in my stash.  

The border around the main picture and the Thank You  is Sapphire Cardstock.  I colored in the images with my Shinhan and Copic markers.

The stamp set Curious Kitties is from Honey Bee Stamp company.  The stitched clouds are from Memory box company.

Two Cat Cards

Hello!

I must be on a roll with cat cards..beware there are more to come.  This cute card was made with a stamp set that I have wanted to play with for a while. 

As you know cats love to sit in boxes and I couldn't resist!  I used Kraft paper and I used some washi tape over a piece of Kraft cardstock to do the middle border between the embossed part of the card and the cat prints!

Happy Card

Hello!

 I was in the mood to do a "spring" card. 

I have a lot of flower stamp sets.  I just couldn't decide what one to use so I ended up not even using a flower set!

This set is called So Many Smiles Set.  It has numerous circles to mix and match using whatever color makes you happy!  It also has four fun sentiments as well as a leaf stamp if you want to make "flowers" with the circles.  For the circles I used a number of ink pads.  Here is a list of colors  in case you are interested:

Raspberry Ink Pad, Tangerine Stamp Pad, Sea Glass Ink Pad, Emerald Ink Pad, Lagoon Stamp Pad, Pansy Stamp pad and Lemon Stamp Pad

For the background stamping I used Charming Cascades Stamp Set along with the Blossom Stamp Pad.  I bordered the middle with Emerald Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with the Raspberry ink and also using that same color ink, I sponged the edges of the card.

Birthday Card

Hello,

I received this cute little stamp set a year ago for a gift.  I have never used it and decided to take it out and play with it. 

It was so fun to stamp and color in this little stamp set.  I used my Shin Han and Copic markers to color it.  

The paper I had in my stash as well.  

I had fun giving this card away for a special birthday person to enjoy!

Cute Kitty Thank You

For those who know me well, know that I love cats!  I have been very lucky over the years to have different cats to grace my life and give me much love.

That means that I have and will continue to have stamp sets that are cat themed! No matter what company, if they are cute, I will buy them.

Wedding Card

Hello!

On today's card I used the Hello Lovely Stamp Set and Thin Cuts Bundle.

I cut it out with the thin cuts dies and then using Silver Embossing Powder to emboss the image and the sentiment. 

Using Watercolor paints I colored in the flowers.  I used the papers and the embossing folders from my stash.

Butterfly Thank You

Hello,

I needed to say Thank you! to some dear friends and decided to use the Dreamin' Big Stamp Set from Close To My Heart.

I also used the Whimsy Fundamentals Paper Pack along with the Juniper Cardstock.

  I also used the Juniper Stamp Pad and the Canary Stamp Pad.

The cute little Thank You sentiment is from the Short & Sweet Stamp Set.  

The stitching stamp set and the ribbon is from my stash of stuff. 

Finished it with a few Bitty Sparkles.

I went to my stash and got this cute little discontinued Close To My Heart stamp set to make this card.

The paper is from a old Close To My Heart 
Happy Times paper packet. 

I love using my stitched dies to border the images. 

Colored in with Shinhhan and Copic markers.

Fish Happy Birthday

Hi there!
I make a lot of cards. There are many times that I go through my stash and find older Close To My Heart paper and card stock colors to use on my creation.  This is one of those cases.  
 I have been trying to only share "current" Close To My Heart stuff.  I have decided that this is my personal blog and I want show my creations no matter what paper and embellishments that I use.

 I hope that by sharing ALL my creations someone will be inspired by my cards and use the supplies they have on hand to create their own masterpiece!

  If there is a current product that can be purchased on my website, then I will make a link so you can look it up.  Otherwise, I will note if I got the products from my own personal "stash"!  

So with that being said, this card is one I made for my son for his birthday. He loves to fish and I had fun making this card.  I used the Hooked on You Stamp set from Close To My Heart.  I used the  Watercolor Paints and the Small Round Waterbrush to color the image in.  After it dried then I used the Liquid Glass on the water to give it that 3-d glossy water look.  I think it makes the fish look like it is really jumping out of the water!  The card stock and the embellishments and the embossing folder are from my stash!
