Hello!
It is finally here..you have been waiting all month to see who the winner is for my Blog drawing celebrating my 20 years with Close To My Heart! Thank you for those who have shared my blog, the sweet comments and the encouragement that you have given me! This has been a great experience and I look forward to continue to posting my creations!
The Grand Prize winner is Brenda Atteberry! You will be receiving the Handwritten Print alphabet worth 29.95, the 2X2 Acrylix block worth 6.50 and a stamp pad worth 5.95! I will be contacting you to let you know and ask what color of stamp pad you would like! Congratulations!
I also drew two more people to get a handmade card from me! They are Suzan DeVore and Lynette Merrill!! I will get to work on them soon!
OK..Now I get to post a cute card that I made this weekend. Even though Colorado is having some beautiful weather lately and we have no snow now, we will! And this is a fun card to just send to someone to brighten their day! Especially on those dreary winter days!
I used the Flakey Friends Stamp set
I used the snowflakes and winter cheer message from the Polar Bear Holiday stamp set
On Crystal blue card stock I stamped a few snowflakes with Crystal blue ink. I also embossed with silver embossing powder, those same snowflakes on the "sky" and on the snow "hill" I did white embossing powder. I colored the dots on the snowman's scarf, the nose and the arms with our beautiful ShinHanart markers..love those markers!
I added some black sparkles for the coal and finished it off with the Metallic bakers twine! Here is a list of products used in case you need to make this fun card:
Crystal Blue ink pad
Crystal Blue Cardstock
Versamark pad for Embossing
White Embossing Powder
Silver Embossing Powder
Marker for the dots
Marker for the arms
Marker for the nose
Sparkles for the coal
Metallic Baker's Twine
Hope you enjoyed this. Check back in a few days and I will try to post another creation! Hugs to all!

Cards I am sending out
Good Afternoon! I just finished the cards that I am sending out to those who commented on my blog, shared my blog etc and were the lucky winners to get a hand stamped card! I was not going to post the card but then I figured that those of you who didn't win, might want to know what the card looked like. I will be sending these out in the mail:
The fun thing about this card is that I didn't have to cut out any of the flowers etc. by hand! Our Cricut cartridges cut out the 'thanks' and cut out the flowers, even the leaves and the middle of the flowers. All I had to do is stamp the images cut out and attach to the card! How cool is that!
I used Pretty Petals Stamp set. I used the Art Philosoply Collection to cut out the flowers.
I used Artfully Sent Collection to cut the Thanks out.
I used our brand new Vine Embossing Folder from our new Close To My Heart Seasonal Expressions Magazine that went live on December 1st!
If you want to see the New Expressions Magazine go to my website:
http://marianqcreations.ctmh.com/
I used Sorbet Stamp pad and Glacier Stamp Pad and Pear Stamp Pad.
I added some cute Gold Sequins for embellishments to finish the card off!
Now remember you still have a few days to share my blog and comment on it before I do the Grand Prize drawing this weekend! I have had fun making the cards and doing the drawings! I am looking forward to doing even more cards etc. Have a great day! Hugs!

I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful and you got to celebrate doing something you love. I was lucky enough to have my parents and kids and hubby with me. I spent the day yesterday decorating my Christmas tree and getting ready for my most favorite holiday. Because it is my favorite holiday you would think today's post is going to be a Christmas card..nope! I posted those last week, so today is a fun birthday card that I made:
I used Build-a-Cake Set with Thistle Exclusive Ink and Lagoon Ink Pad.
I used our Fun Arrow Embossing Folder and then I decided to use our Washi tape. I don't use it often enough and it is a fun product to use!
Lagoon Hearts Washi Tape
Black Arrow Washi Tape
I finished up the card with our cute
Thistle Diagonal Striped ribbon and added quick little sparkles.
Hope you enjoy this card!
So now we get to see who the winners are today! Lynette Merrill you get the 20% off your next order!! And Carol Harrington you get a hand stamped card from me! Be patient with me..I will be creating soon!
We have one week left for my contest! Remember to comment on my blog, do a order, share my blog on your facebook page etc! Please!

We have a winner or two! And two Christmas cards!
Hello!
It is fun to be able to sit down and post on my blog. I have missed not doing as much as I would have liked to lately. I have decided to add to the drawing "bucket" those who truly tried to post on my blog but could not for one reason or another. I have also added names to my "bucket" those who have purchased the $50 in products from me so far this month and now we have two new winners.....Drum roll...
For the 20% off her next order from me: the lucky winner is Karen Lee! I will include a 20% off coupon from me to use on your next Close To My Heart order! Whoo hoo!
For a hand stamped card creation: the lucky winner is Jane Choate!
Congratulations to the both of you! I wonder who will get the next week drawing? Post on my blog, share my blog, order etc. and you can be entered into the drawings!
I promised that I would share the last two cards that we created at our group workshop. Enjoy!
The Make It Merry Stamp set is such a fun set to use! Who would have thought using a scooter would make such a cute Christmas card!
I used paper from Snowhaven Paper Packet
I used Cranberry Exclusive Stamp pad and embossed with Silver Super fine embossing powder
Colored the image with our beautiful
Shinhan Twin Touch markers.
Embellish with some fun Glitter Paper and you are done!
Close To My Heart has a wonderful cardmaking kit called Snowhaven Cardmaking kit
It has instructions, stamp set, paper and embellishments for making 15 beautiful cards.
I couldn't resist using this kit to make one of our workshop cards. The only change that I made is that I decided to add the Merry Christmas sentiment from Santa Claus Set instead of the one that was included in the set.
I used this same paper on the above card as well.
I hope you enjoyed these cards. Have a great weekend everyone! Hugs!

I will be back!
Hello everyone!
It seems like forever since I have had a chance to post! I don't have a
"creation" to post because I have been extra busy taking care of some family stuff. But, I beg that you hang in there for just a little while and I will soon be back to posting my creations. And because I am behind, I am going to extend the celebration a extra week. Remember, if you comment on my blog, you get entered into my weekly drawings for 20% off a order and a handstamped card from me. And a for the Grand prize drawing that I mentioned earlier.
Go back to the previous blog to see how you can get tickets for the
Grand Prize drawing. If you don't play you don't get your name in the drawing bucket! I sure would love to celebrate my 20 years as a CTMH consultant with you!!
I have just finished setting my workshop for tomorrow morning and evening! See where my stamp club get together and creates:
Notice the theme? Yep, we are doing Christmas cards!
Looks like fun? It is!! You can be a part of my stamping groups! Contact me and I can help! It is so fun to create with your friends! Think of it as a time out doing something fun and creative!
SO, after we are done tomorrow night, I will post the pictures of the cards that we did!
Until then..

Sneak peak teaser!
The weekend is almost over! Where did it go? Today I have a card that I made using our Stamp of the Month for November. Yes, November. It was such a cute set, I couldn't resist! Close To My Heart does a stamp of the month program. It is a exclusive stamp set that is only good for one month at a time. And when that month is over..no longer is the stamp set available! Almost like having a exclusive collection of stamp sets. Fun! November will be here in 5 days and you will be able to order! So get your wish list ready! Also..November is a special month for me. It is the month I started on my Close to My Heart journey 20 years ago! It will be a fun month with some fun drawings, challenges etc. so watch for that! Have a great day! Hugs!
This was done with:
Chalk It Up Paper Packet
Thanks so much was cut with..
Artfully Sent Cricut collection
and embossed with
Quatrefoil Embossing Folder
The cute tiny flowers were colored in with our awesome ShinHan markers
Light orange marker
Finished with

The buttons I got out of my stash! We don't carry them anymore but I couldn't resist that either! The stamp of the month isn't on my web address yet and I will do that on the 1st of November! Until then, you can go to Close To My Heart.com and click on Products and review the Idea Books section! Great way to look at the book as well!

10 Minute Card
Today is a card you can make when you only have a few minutes to create! You know those days. The day when you are running late, you just put the shopping bags away and realize that you forgot a card that you need for someone today! You do not have anytime to stop and create a card but you don't have time to run to the store to get one either. This card is very easy to do. Drag out your stash of papers and your favorite stamp set. This takes no cutting out or coloring in! Stamp the image, use the corner rounder and sponge the edges, add a couple of embellishments and you are done!
I used the Pathfinding Paper Package
I also used Country Born Stamp set
For my embellishments I used:
Brown and Tan Sparkle assortment
Bronze Shimmer Trim
And only one stamp pad!
Chocolate stamp pad
If you are follower of my blog, this is the same stamp set that I have used previously, as well as the same paper. So now you have even more ideas to use that stamp set and paper with! Enjoy and have a great week until I see you the next time! Hugs!

Jungle Baby Card
Happy Monday! Yep, it is still Monday and I finally got my card done to share with you. I decided to do a Baby Card. When my kids were younger, pink and blue and maybe yellow or pale green were the colors that you used to announce or congratulate a new baby. Now it is so fun to see all the wonderful colors used to make cards and design the nursery. So here is my card:
I used Wild Wonders Stamp set
I cut the card front with the
Cricut Artfully Sent Cartridge collection
The cute paper behind the cut out honeycomb is the tiny honeycomb paper in the
Adventure Assortment Paper Fundamental Set
The ribbon is the Mini Chevron Ribbon and attached it with our awesome Mini Stapler
I used Honey Cardstock and I used
Cocoa, honey, Autumn Terracotta, and Slate exclusive ink pads
Ink pads
Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget my challenge that I posted on Friday of last week! Just comment on my blog if you did some encouragement for someone you know..you don't have to tell me what you did..just that you did and I will enter your name in a drawing to get a hand stamped card from me! Also, if you share my blog with someone new, I will add your name to the drawing as well!! Can't wait to start designing a card for the winner! You have until this coming Friday to comment on my blog! Whoo hoo!!

Two things and a challenge!
Today I have decided to show you what I have been working on. I am a little bit hesitant to share this because I don't want it to look like I am
"tooting my own horn". If I can share this post with even one person and that one person wants to encourage someone else then I have accomplished my goal. Before the picture, let me share a short reason I am doing this. This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month and there are a lot of pink ribbons out there and pink this and pink that. It is wonderful! I also know that there are many, many other kinds of cancer out there. My Mom has cancer. It is in remission for now. The doctor has told us that is will come back and for now we have chemo treatments every 8 weeks to try to keep it from coming back soon. She is fighting this terrible battle along with millions of other people fighting the same battle. Cancer is a terrible, no good, very bad disease. I have sat with my Mom many, many hours in the Oncology unit while she is hooked up to iv's delivering the dreaded chemo treatments. I have seen many people come through this unit and I see the tired faces, the sick faces, the weight loss and so forth as they fight this battle. My heart goes out to them. I have asked myself, "what can I do to give these people, who I don't know a small something to encourage them?" So I thought of a couple of stamp sets that would work. I wanted something they could sit by their bed or their chair etc. to give them a tiny little bit of encouragement. I am going to drop these off at the Oncology unit and have the Oncology nurses just give to anyone they think would benefit and maybe, just maybe make someone feel a tiny bit better.
Maybe you can use this idea to do your own kind of encouraging. Encourage someone today. Drop a card in the mail, call someone, thank someone , send a email.. anything!
As I have mentioned before, I love to organize. I love having a place for everything and being able to find things. My friends laugh at me because in my craft room, I am always changing and organizing that room. They never know what it is going to look like when they come over! So, because I love to organize, I love the CTMH Organizer boxes! They come in Small , Medium and Large. I recently got the new sponge dauber organizer foam insert that fits perfectly in the small organizer. I then decided that I wanted to get a dauber for each of my ink colors. I labeled them and attached the labels with packing tape and now when I want to sponge a color to my card, I don't have to try to remember what color was on that dauber! I just got it all set up and I am loving it!
This is what it looks like with the lid closed.
Small Organizer box
Dauber Foam Insert
This what the labels look like!
Very simple, but easy to read!
Challenge for this next week! If you comment on my blog a organizational idea that you have done. I will put your name in a drawing for a card!
If you encourage someone..let me know and I will put your name in that same drawing!
The more you do, the more chances you have to get a card from me! Maybe I will be generous and even do more than one..who knows! Have a great weekend! Hugs!

Hugs!

Fun Flower Card
Good Morning! I try to post on Monday but as you can see that didn't happen. I spent the whole weekend scrap booking and didn't get a chance to create a card until now. I made this card for one of my downlines. I try to do a card for the top sales and this is the one I created! I know everyone is thinking Fall/Christmas cards but I love this stamp set and paper and just couldn't resist making at least one card. Congratulations Kathy B! Look for it in the mail soon!

I cut the card front out with the Cricut

As well as the Cranberry, Topiary and Pacifica ink pads

I used my favorite tiny sparkles to embellish them.
Bitty Sparkles
I used the Topiary Mini Chevron ribbon and the rest from my ribbon stash.

Artfully Sent Birthday card
Today I am posting a card that was created with our new Close To My Heart Artfully Sent cricut cartridge. I am proud of myself, I didn't use one of my stamps or ink on this card. And loving stamping like I do, it was easier than I thought it would be! This was done as a 5 1/2 inch card but you can make it a 5X7 card if you are inclined to do so!
I used paper from
Confetti Wishes paper pack
and I used purple and teal glitter card stock
Teal Glitter Paper
Purple Glitter Paper
The texture is from our embossing folder
Dot Embossing Folder
Added Sequins to make it pop
Silver Sequins
This is a great way to use up all those little pieces of scrap paper that you have around your craft area! Of course, gluing them all over the back of the inside of the card doesn't look very pretty, so I just added a piece of the paper from the Confetti wishes paper pack to cover them!
And then I cut out a couple of cute little cupcakes to adhere to in the inside to finish the card.
I think it turned out cute:
Thanks for looking! Have a great rest of the week and I will be posting in a few more days!

Two more workshop cards
Happy Friday everyone!
A couple of days ago I showed you two cards that I made for my stamp club and promised that I would show you the other two cards that we also put together!
For those of you in my club..this isn't the "exact" card that we made. I was in the mood to tweak it a little bit. I hope you like this one more.
We used two stamp sets:
Season of Thanks border stamps
I took one of the border stamps from this set (there are three)and I stamped with Goldrush ink and before stamping and it was still wet on the stamp, I "rolled" the edges in the Olive ink pad and then I stamped the entire image in the middle of the Colonial White Cartstock and then I tore the edges and took a sponge and sponged Goldrush ink on the edges.
Beyond Measure Stamp set
I stamped the pumpkin stamp with Autumn Terracotta ink. I cut it out and sponged the stem in Chocolate ink. I then took my embossing pad and dabbed over the pumpkin. I then added detail clear embossing powder to the image and heat set it to give that glossy look.
I then cut out two leaf stems with my Artiste Cricut Cartridge:http://marianqcreations.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6719&ci=85
I sponged the edges of the leaves with the Olive ink and carefully used the edge of the Damask embossing Folder to give the leaves some texture. I then did the clear embossing like I did the pumpkin above.
Using the Triangle Border Punch I punched a piece of Olive cardstock, attached the Goldrush paper under it and then I glued all the pieces of my card on background texture paper from Pathfinding Paper Packet and finished with Bling Gems Gold assortment.
My next card is from a card making kit called Workshops on Go Pathfinding Cardmaking kit.
These kits are awesome. Using the stamp set, instructions, accessories along with your additional supplies** you can use this kit to make 15 beautiful cards! Here is one of them:
Here is what the 15 cards look like that I made from the kit:
And thanks to information from a fellow consultant Pam Jarret, she shared that with the leftover paper you can make 15 more cards! You only have to add your own card bases and envelopes!
Here is a picture of the additional cards and the leftover paper..
So that is a total of 30 cards! Whoo hoo! If this is something that interests you here is what the additional supplies you would need to complete all of the above:
Chocolate ink pad, Desert Sand ink pad, Glacier ink pad, Goldrush ink pad and you can find them here: Exclusive Ink Pads
Also, our acrylix blocks to attach your stamps on: http://marianqcreations.ctmh.com/Retail/Search.aspx?SearchValue=acrylix+blocks
Whew! that was a long post. Hope you enjoyed the detailed tutorial. If you would like more this..or not.. feel free to leave a comment and let me know. I would love to hear from you! Have a great weekend!!

Workshop cards
Happy day to you! Today I am going to share two of the cards that I put together for my stamp club on Friday of last week. I have a group of wonderful ladies that make up what I call a "Stamp Club"! We meet every other month to create at least 4 cards. They only have to order $25 and get to make the cards for FREE! That is a great deal! Not only do you get the cards, you also get the products that you order and get to learn something new every time you come! Each one of the members that have signed up to be a part of the club also gets to be hostess with more free products at least once during the duration of the club! And most of all we have loads of fun. Maybe you and some friends might be interested??
Here is what we made for this month club:
This is the same stamp set that I used on the Cricut card that I posted earlier in my blog:
Frightfully fun stamp set
Scaredy Cat Paper Packet
Purple Glitter Paper
Black Glitter Paper
Here is another card using the CTMH National Stamping month stamp set that I featured earlier in my blog. Another way to use those ultra cute little stamps! And a card that can be used for numerous occasions! Anytime you are proud of someone!
National Stamping month special
Same Scaredy Cat Paper as above
Cute Thistle Ribbon
Attached the ribbon with this cute mini stapler
I stamped the flowers with our Sunset ink and immediately put our super fine embossing powder on them and embossed them. I did the same with the Thistle ink on the arrows.
Love this powder..it is almost like having unlimited embossing colors
To make the flowers pop I added glitter gems
Bitty clear sparkles
Cute stars to complete the card
That is it for today! Check back in a couple of days and see the other two cards that we made for the club! Have a great day! Hugs!

Two Cards From One Stamp Set
Friday is here! Time to post again! For those of you who know me, know that I love to walk outside. The other morning while I was walking, I saw some beautiful wild sunflowers. They had their heads all pointed towards the early morning sun and they were so pretty, I couldn't resist taking a picture:
Being inspired, I couldn't resist doing a card with sunflowers on it:
Used this stamp set
Paper Fundamental papers
One of our beautiful adhesive glitter trims without the glitter mess!
Three brown sparkles to make it pop
The cute embellishments for the card below
This card was made with the above stamp set. Used the same paper package and just changed the glitter trim to red. The embellishments are listed above.
I hope you enjoy these. Have a great Friday and a great weekend! Check back in a couple of days to see more fun cards!
